Robofoot gets rewarded at FEA 2004

On September 16 and 17 2004, Polytechnique was the host for the 3rd Edition of the Forum des Étudiants en Aérospatiale (FEA) where more than 250 students from all the Province attended various related activities.

This Forum is an annual event organized by undergraduate and graduate students involved in the Aerospace field, jointly with some important industry partners affiliated with the Consortium de Recherche et d'Innovation en Aérospatiale au Québec (CRIAQ). The Forum gives an exposure for the actual knowledge and strengths of the local Aerospace sector, but also shows some research and development projects for tomorrow's technologies.

(Translated from a communiqué of the Service des communications)

During this Forum was held a contest of project presentations related to the field of Aerospace. Julien Beaudry, Robofoot's team director, was giving a presentation entitled Systèmes multi-robots coopératifs, applications en aérospatiale. Demonstrating the interesting link between the developments made at Polytechnique and their possible applications in various domains like extra-planetary exploration systems, this presentation was awarded the 1st Price in the Graduate studies category. This is a great example of the relevance of the developments made in the Robofoot project!
